Uttarakhand HC to hold only physical hearings from August 24

New Delhi, August 17, 2021: The Uttarakhand High Court will resume normal functioning through the physical mode from August 24, and no virtual hearings will be held thereafter, said a notification issued by its Registrar General.

“Hon’ble Court is pleased to direct that the Hon’ble Court will resume normal judicial work only through physical mode w.e.f. 24.08.2021, and no request for virtual hearing will be entertained by the High Court,” read the notification dated August 16, 2021.

All the provisions of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) notified by the High Court as per notification dated 26.07.2021, which confirms to the normal hearing, will continue to apply, said the document.

The Uttarakhand High Court, like many Courts across the country, has been functioning in the online mode and holding virtual hearings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
