L&L Partners advises, acts for Steadview Capital in million dollar investment deal

New Delhi, March 3: L&L Partners advised and acted for Steadview Capital in relation to its primary investment in ‘BharatPe’ (Resilient Innovations Private Limited) in its Series D equity round of funding, the law firm has said.

Pursuant to Series D funding which occurred at a valuation of USD 900 million, Bharat Pe raised USD 90 million in primary fund raise and also ensured secondary exit for its angel investors and employees for a total amount of USD 18 million. 

The round was led by the company’s existing investor Coatue Management. Further, all seven existing institutional investors participated in the round – Ribbit Capital, Insight Partners, Steadview Capital, Beenext, Amplo and Sequoia Capital, L&L Partners said in a statement. 

BharatPe is one of the largest B2B fintech lenders in the country, facilitating over INR 200 crore of loans to its merchant partners every month through its NBFC partners. It has been outgrowing the market in the payments space. Additionally, BharatPe has deployed more than 50,000 PoS machines and enables transactions of more than INR 900 crore/ month on our PoS machines. The company has presence in 75 cities in the country.

L&L Partners advised and acted for Steadview under the present transaction. The transaction team consisted of Partners Vaibhav Kakkar and Snigdhaneel Satpathy, an Associates Keshav Pareek, Mincy Mathew and Paayas Pandit, the statement said.
