India Law Offices LLP announces New Senior Partner in Maritime Law

New Delhi, August 19: India Law Offices LLP (ILO), a full service international law firm headquartered in New Delhi, has announced the appointment of Captain Pankaj Kapoor as Senior Partner. 

Pankaj Kapoor, a registered advocate in Mumbai who has more than two decades of experience in handling matters related to Charter parties, Salvage, Demurrage claim, Marine Insurance, Ship arrests and MLC, joined ILO in August, 2020. He will be leading the Maritime Law division of the firm, it announced in a press release.

Pankaj was a member of drafting committee of ‘National Maritime Policy’ in the Government of India Niti Aayog where he played an instrumental role in creating a national policy covering various maritime activities ranging from wind farming, blue economy and national shipping. He is currently a member of ‘Legal Committee’ of Company of Master Mariners India. 

Pankaj is also faculty for Logistics Management at India’s prestigious Management college NMIMS and for Maritime Law” at Narottam Morarji Institute of Shipping Management. He has been guest speaker at various Maritime Law conferences.
