Chandigarh, July 1, 2022: While dealing with an anticipatory bail plea by Shagan Preet Singh, the manager of late singer Sidhu Moosewala, in the matter of murder of YAD leader Vicky Middukhera, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has held that the petitioner was presently residing in Australia and as such, there was no immediate urgency for any interim relief till the next date of hearing which was fixed as July 4, 2022. 

Anticipating arrest in relation to the case of murder of YAD leader Vicky Middukhera, Shagan Preet Singh, the manager of late singer Sidhu Moosewala approached the  the Bench of Justice Anoop Chitkara for the grant of anticipatory bail. 

The Court served notice upon the official respondent through State counsel. In the meanwhile, Justice Chitkara directed the State to file a status report/reply/instruction. 

However, the relief of pre-arrest bail was not granted by the Bench while holding, 

The petitioner is presently residing in Australia and as such, there is no immediate urgency for any interim relief till the next date of hearing.”

The matter is now listed for hearing on July 4, 2022.
