California’s high court nixes law grads’ bid for diploma privilege

September 24: The Supreme Court of California on Wednesday rejected a petition by recent law school graduates urging the state to grant so-called diploma privilege, which would allow them to become licensed attorneys without taking the bar exam.
The court “doesn’t comment beyond the action it has taken,” spokesperson Cathal Conneely said in an email on Wednesday, Reuters reported while quoting Westlaw News.
