Prayagraj, July 12, 2021: The Allahabad High Court will begin hearings in open court from Wednesday, July 14.

The High Court has issued guidelines regarding hearing of cases in the open court. Proceedings have been carried out through video conferencing in the Allahabad High Court, as well as the Supreme Court, and many high courts and subordinate courts across the country, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The decision to begin hearings in the open court was taken by the Committee of Justices at the Allahabad High Court.

According to the guidelines, from now on prior notice will have to be given to the office of the Registrar General for virtual hearings.

The guidelines issued by the Registrar General say that only those lawyers who will have cases and have got the vaccination done will be allowed inside the court premises. Vaccine certificates must be shown at the time of admission.

It will be mandatory for everyone in the court premises to wear a mask and maintain social and physical distance. Not more than 10 advocates be allowed together in the courtroom and no crowding will be allowed, the guidelines said.
