Allahabad High Court judge succumbs to Covid-19 in Lucknow

New Delhi, April 29: Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, passed away on April 28. He was suffering from Covid-19.

Srivastava, 59, had tested positive for coronavirus and was undergoing treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI) in Lucknow, officials said. He was a serving judge in the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court.

The Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow bench remain closed today to mourn his death.
