The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petitions of the country’s embattled telcos to modify its order of October 24, last year, that made them liable to pay up more than 1 trillion of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues by January 23.

The matter was mentioned before a bench headed by Chief Justice S.A. Bobde on Tuesday and the case is likely to be heard next week. The telcos had filed the modification pleas on Monday.
